As strikingly Warhol as the Marilyn work & Campbell's Soup Can. Tell me, when you see a Brillo-box from that era do you not instantly think Warhol? I do.

It's genius. Taking over an era, or depicting an era so succeeding generations see it through the prism of Warhol's art means he will live forever. That's why he's as important as the masters from the Italian Renaisance or your Dutch masters: he's the eyes through which we see important icons and everyday things from a byegone era. He's the New York 1960s and 70s.

He is Pop Art.

He was, what 35 or 36 when he created this. The world was to become his.

But the world was not enough.
