Fine old Impressionist oil painting. I think it is German - of a log cabin in a forest - signed but can't read signature (see scans below). It is dated on the back 1940. There is writing in German which I can't read. Condition: there is minor craculure and very minor paint loss, easily fixed. Oil original frame suits the painting.
