Little is know about Pintoricchio's early life. Around 1481/82, he was probaly in Rome assisting
Perugino with the frescoes in the
Sistine Chapel.
He was the son of Benedetto or Betto di Blagi.

- Fresco cycle in the Borgia Apartments in the Vatican (1492-c. 1495)
- Fresco cycle in the Piccolomini Library of the Cathedral of Siena (1503-8)
