      Beautifully Empty

      This is one weird film. Beautifully shot, beautifully acted (Rampling is just superb and I just wish there was more of her in the film), and beautifully constructed, nonetheless this film left me feeling a bit short changed. The ending, in my opinion, wasn't as clever as what preceded it and, dare I say it, the director thinks he is alot cleverer than he actually is. But I would recommend this Dvd as it is stil better than most things out there and it proves one thing: a lemming on its own is a beautiful, cuddly thing; when it is accompanied by 100s of others it is truly grotesque. I bet you'll agree with me when you get to that scene!
