      • This is a really rare issue #12, the final issue, of Moonshadow, published by Epic Comics (part of Marvel) in 1987.

        Moonshadow is famous for being the first fully painted comic series, by the artist Jon. J. Muth. Written by J. M. De Matteis. Described as a fairy tale for grown-ups. This particular issue is also well-known amongst fans of Japan and David Sylvian, as Muth used images of Sylvian for the basis of the main character in this issue. There are numerous images used, taken from record covers and photos from the Sons of Pioneers book by Fin Costello.


        MOONSHADOW EDITIONS

      • This is the original publication of this comic. Later reprint editions published by DV/Vertigo had many of these Sylvian images replaced. If my memory serves me correctly it was either Sylvian's management company, Opium (Arts) Ltd. or Fin Costello himself who asked for the images to be replaced.

        A mega-rare unique piece of memorabilia for Sylvian/Japan fans.
