Jean Metzinger became a Cubist painter and, with Gleizes, published in 1912 Du Cubisme, the first book on the movement (English edition, 1913). He used the flat-pattern type of Cubism in rather bright colour.

There is an example in London (Tate) and several in Paris (Mus. d'Art Mod.).
