Jennifer Dickson lives and works in Ottawa. She has had around 30 solo exhibitions around the world and numerous group exhibitions. She founded and directed the graduate printmaking programme at Brighton College of Art in the early 1960s.

• 1954-59: Trains as a painter and printmaker at Goldsmiths’ College School of Art, London

• 1960-65: Graduate studies at the Atelier 17, Paris

• 1962: Solo exhibition at the New Vision Centre, London

• 1965: Made a member of the Royal Society of Painters, Etchers and Engravers, London

• 1969: Moves to Canada. Teaches at the Saidye Bronfman Centre in Montréal

• 1970: Elected ARA

• 1976: Elected Royal Academician

• 1985: Retrospective at Galerie Dresdnere, Toronto

• 1988: Made a Doctor of Laws at the University of Alberta, Edmonton, Canada

• 1995: Made a Member of the Order of Canada

• 2002: Receives the Victor Tolgesy Arts Award from the Council for the Arts in Ottawa
