Both men were in Janni's office three floors above Bruton Street, Mayfair. 'We were discussing the girl we wanted for Lizzie, a sort of earthy mother figure, a heavily-breasted all-enveloping creature ... I saw this magazine [the now defunct Town magazine], this girl on the cover and a series of photos inside. Very good pictures, very provocative. She looked scrumptious, absolutely marvellous. I didn't connect the girl with Julie as I remembered her.'

Janni, however, remembered it differently. He said he saw Julia's picture on a magazine cover, idly passing the time on a train to Bradford and decided, 'That's her, that's Lizzie.'
