12. kesäkuuta 1993 70.000 ihmistä todisti Helsingissä historiallista tapahtumaa. Leningrad Cowboys esiintyi ensimmäistä kertaa yhdessä Puna-armeijan kuoron 100 laulajan, 40 muusikon ja 20 tanssijan kanssa suurimmalla Suomessa nähdyllä näyttämöllä. Show sisälsi rockklassikoita kuten Happy Together, Delilah ja Knockin’ on Heaven’s Door, samoin kuin hittejä bändin omasta ohjelmistosta. Konsertti oli suurmenestys ja Aki Kaurismäki ryhmineen oli paikalla kuvaamassa tätä unohtumatonta tapahtumaa, jossa kohtasivat vanha ja uusi, itä ja länsi.

These days, Leningrad Cowboys are busy celebrating their anniversary. The only problem is that nobody knows exactly when or where everything began. Some say the legend began in 1379 in Siberia; some say it began in Alaska before the US bought the land from Russia. Unfortunately all the relevant family documents were destroyed in the dangerous Wodkaflut of 1977 and thus we only know for sure who are the current family members.
On 12 June 1993, 70,000 spectators witnessed the historical appearance of the current (and past) Leningrad Cowboys in Helsinki, Finland. For the first time they performed with the 100 singers, 40 musicians and 20 dancers of the Alexandrov Red Army Ensemble.
