NORMAN ACKROYD (Artist)
- Born: Leeds, Yorkshire, UK, 1938
- Elected: Royal Academican, 1990
Norman Ackroyd's etchings are arguably the most popular of any living British artist working today. Think of Ackroyd and you see those stunning scapes of land and sea, the mountain tops in an imposing black as the white of the seas crash against them, or they are enveloped by an ethereal mist.
Since the mid-1990s, his work has appeared yearly in one-man exhibitions
at each London Original Print
Fair at The Royal
Academy of Arts, London
His work is owned by numerous Public Collections including: Tate Gallery, London, Stedelijk, Amsterdam, and the Victoria and Albert Museum, London.
He has a great website at www.normanackroyd.com where you can buy his stunning etchings at affordable prices of between £280 - £900.
