      • A spectacular critical and ratings success when first transmitted, UPSTAIRS, DOWNSTAIRS still maintains its position as one of the major success stories of British television worldwide. Multi-award winning (including ones from BAFTA, the Writers Guild, the Royal Television Society, Emmies and Golden Globes) the series features Jean Marsh, Gordon Jackson, Angela Baddeley and Lesley Anne Down and was produced by John Hawkesworth.

Series three of UPSTAIRS, DOWNSTAIRS takes place between 1912 and 1914, starting with Lady Marjorie’s fateful voyage on the RMS Titanic and ending just prior to the advent of World War I. Richard Bellamy must cope with life without his wife and wastrel son James settles down and gets married, although the relationship is uneven at best. The domestic staff are headed by Hudson the Butler, a conservative and very proper Scot who has to contend with the ‘below stairs’ behaviour of the household staff, among them cook Mrs Bridges and maidservant Rose.

      • This set contains all thirteen episodes of series three. It set also includes the third part of the ongoing exclusive documentary series about the making of Upstairs Downstairs, an interview with composer Alexander Faris as well as a 5.1 mix of him conducting the Upstairs Downstairs theme with a live orchestra, an archive interview with Gordon Jackson on the Russell Harty show and six audio commentaries (*):
