I still think Minor Earth Major Sky is up there as a contender to be one of the band's most beautiful albums. Dare I say it's the best? Strong stuff when you think of their back catalogue but there are so many jaw droppingly delicate and poetic songs and it holds its own from start to finish in a way I don't think Lifelines quiet does for example. Lifelines is still a fine album but anything stood against this their comeback album would suffer in comparison.

Velvet was a timeless classic the moment it was written - even better live - poetry in pop music and I Wish I Cared, written by Magne, is just one of the best breaking up songs I've ever heard. In fact it's one of the best songs period. So beautiful and so melancholic - in terms of the power in capturing an emotion in a 3 minute pop song it's up there with anything Lennon and/or McCartney have ever produced. Aided by the fact that Morten's incredible ability to wring every last nuance from a song with his incredible vocal range and you have the closest popular music can ever get to art.

A perfect album that all citizens on this minor earth should listen to before each and every one os us shuffle off this mortal coil.
