This two-disc set features all thirteen episodes of this smash-hit comedy series. Sid James is Sid Abbott, a successful travelling stationery salesman by trade and considers himself the head of the household. He is very often reminded that, despite his supposed status in the house, peace and respect is something that seems to be always eluding him due to the constant harassment and seemingly unreasonable demands (from his point of view anyway) made by his family, which includes his wife and sparring partner Jean, played superbly by Diana Coupland (Rose and Maloney, One Foot in the Grave), the son Mike (Robin Stewart – Oliver Twist, Rambrandt), daughter Sally (Sally Geeson – Z-Cars, Friends in High Places), not to mention the sympathetic neighbours Betty (Patsy Rowlands – The Canterbury Tales, Peak Practice) and Trevor (Anthony Jackson – Only Fools and Horses, Dynasty).
