The Profile of Time is one of several pieces that were conceived and cast in bronze during the Eighties. By that I mean you actually learn about how the works came into being and not a critic's pretentious examination of a work which just gives his or her's subjective viewpoint. I learnt more from this book on Dali's work than any other book I have found.
