Ealing's great portmanteau ghost story in which the guests at a country weekend tell of their occult experiences.

INFO. FROM EALING FOREVER BOOK

Opened in the UK in September 1945.

It remains one of the best films ever made about the supernatural.

It was the first 'portmanteau' film made at Ealing, wherein a number of different directors were able to contribute an individual story without unbalacing the unity.

The most celebrated of the stories was directed by Cavalcanti and concerns a ventriloquist (Michael Redgrave) and a dummy he cannot control.

Music by Jean Cocteau's great composer, Georges Auric.
