Search Site  The windows in Chop Suey are boundaries, keeping our attention within the interior. What is without we can't even say for it remains unnamed geometrical shapes. The heavily made-up woman seems to look beyond her companion, at us, the viewers, whilst those in the background are in a world of their own which we can't reach.   The two nearest us wear typical 1920s cloche hats.  There is something seductive about the woman with the brash make-up. Her red lipstick is only matched by the red of the sign.
