      • The newlywed Munroes purchase a rundown, ramshackle cottage and plan to fix it up themselves, primarily to escape her meddling father. They hadn't appreciated the scope of the work needed to get the place up to scratch, however, and have no choice but to reluctantly ask him for help. Unfortunately, he brings in a useless builder and things go from bad to worse!

        Written by Henry Blyth (THE BULLDOG BREED) and Jack Davies (THOS MAGNIFICENT MEN IN THEIR FLYING MACHINES), FATHER CAME TOO! is a classic comedy in the Rank and Ealing mould, starring Leslie Phillips and Stanley Baxter, with a suitably towering performance from James Roberston Justice as the interfering father. Comedy support is ably supplied by Ronnie Barker, John Bluthal, Kenneth Cope, Peter Jones, Hugh Lloyd, Arthur Mullard, Cardew Robinson and Terry Scott.

        This comedy film will appeal to people who enjoy classic British comedy films, sit-coms and Carry-On style shenanigans.
