Random photos taken of Central London, around Trafalgar Square and up the Charing Cross Rd., then back to The Strand. Of course, this is touristland; this is the 'official' London that people take home with them. Consequently, the area attracts people like moths to the flame. But look above the mass of the masses, the heads with mobiles clamped to the ears ... look above the cars rushing to the future, the brilliant suits talking down to the not-so-brilliant suits, and you will see exquisite buildings with their exquisite brickwork. Works of art hovering above the everyday humdrum; jewels in a crown of grimness; art in the prosaic.
