Frank Auerbach: The British Council 1986 Exhibition Catalogue

This is the
Frank Auerbach catalogue produced to accompany the exhibition of his paintings and drawings in the British Pavilion at the 1986 Venice Biennale and is therefore an important artifact from the period Auerbach was becomming more and more commercially successful.
The book includes 32 plates of the works selected for this exhibition. These were pieces executed between 1977 and 1985. And anything penned by Catherine Lampert is worth reading.
This has been long out of print and I've only seen a few over the years. The one I have is in very good condition and condition wise is the best I have seen. I would say 'used - very good'.
It contains large format illustrations throughout.
