| Brigitte Bardot Le Trou Normand The director, Jean Boyer, was mounting the production of a film entitled Le Trou Normand (English title: Crazy for Love). the name of a village inn. Roger Vadim took him to see Brigitte Bardot at drama school, and Boyer promptly offered her a part of a young girl caught up in an intrigue about the ownership of the inn, who, in the end, leaves the village to take up an acting career. Bardot received around £300 for the part. The film was a minor venture which made no great impact but the critics liked the newcomer.
