With the passing of Mark Hollis, announced on the 25th February 2019, this is really all that there is from this elusive genius from the twilight days of Talk Talk to today (A V 1 and a couple of collobarations aside). Many will now turn to this piece borne from a contractual obligation with his record label, Polydor, and will find a haunting, ethereal and beautiful album. Few, I would venture, have heard of it. It deserves more, so much more. Perhaps that is because the musician almost disappeared without a trace, gone to earth bar the music he created for TV drama Boss starring Kelsey Grammer and TI. And yet that really wasn't the case, it transpires, as he left music behind him and got on with life, a 'good life' he said in 1998, living in Wimbledon from the mid-1990s to now with his wife and chidren. It's just that we the fans had no business being part of it - anything he had wanted to say was found in the music. Mark Hollis is something many will find as a welcome find today. 2020: in stock. New - still sealed so can't check matrix for which official Europe release (this has been repressed at least 7 times up to his passing). Some come with the small cover sticker stating 'Formerly of Talk Talk. 537 688-2' & some don't. The ones I 've just picked up here don't. Also, through the sealed bag I can see a couple of scratches on the jewel case. Price reduced accordingly.
