Early Career:

Before presenting natural history programmes, Michaela Strachan worked on children's shows, including The Wide Awake Club and Hey Hey, It's Saturday.

First Job:

When she was 17 and still at college, she was an Avon lady. She also worked briefly as a kissagram.

Personal Stuff:

Michaela had her first baby, Oliver Felix, in June 2005, with TV producer partner Nick Chevalier. She is also stepmum to his three teenagers.

Michaela was previously married to film-maker Duncan Chard, but they divorced after five years together.
