Natasha Little
Born: 1970, Liverpool, United Kingdom
Natasha Little is the daughter of Fred and Mary Little; her father worked as a hospital manager and her mother was a teacher. Her early childhood was spent across multiple Middle Eastern countries, including Iran, Saudi Arabia and Qatar, where her father worked for the World Health Organisation. By the age of twelve she had lived in eleven different countries.
After the family returned to England, they settled in Loughton, Essex. Little attended Epping Forest College and joined a local Saturday drama group. Originally planning to study law, she changed direction after appearing in a school production of Chicago, eventually enrolling at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama.
Her first professional role was in The Tenth Man at the Hampstead Theatre. She later appeared as Jenny in London's Burning, which helped establish her television career. Little has since worked consistently across British film, TV and theatre, with credits including Thirteen, The Night Manager, ZeroZeroZero, War of the Worlds, Press, Silent Witness, and Dalgliesh.
From 2005 onwards, Natasha Little built a steady and respected body of work across British television, film and theatre. She appeared in a broad range of dramas, period pieces and contemporary thrillers, demonstrating her adaptability and consistent presence in high-quality productions.
During this period she took on notable roles in series such as Spooks, Kidnap and Ransom, Case Sensitive, and Foyle’s War. She also appeared in critically acclaimed miniseries including Thirteen, in which her performance drew particular attention for its emotional depth, and the BBC’s internationally distributed adaptation of The Night Manager.
Her film work expanded with appearances in projects such as Another Life, Vanity Fair, and independent British features. She also contributed to a number of ensemble casts in both contemporary dramas and literary adaptations, maintaining a strong presence in prestige television.
Little continued to work prolifically into the 2010s and 2020s, with roles in productions including Press, Silent Witness, ZeroZeroZero, War of the Worlds, and Dalgliesh. Across these series she remained known for her controlled, intelligent performances and for bringing subtle character work to both leading and supporting roles.
Alongside screen work, she maintained an ongoing connection to the stage with appearances in London theatre, balancing her career with family life in East London. Her reputation during this period solidified her status as a versatile and consistently in-demand British actor.
Natasha Little lives in East London with her husband, actor Bo Poraj, whom she married on 31 December 2003 in Leytonstone. Her interests include dancing, singing and playing the flute.
