COCTEAU TWINS

Tishbite, the first single from Cocteau Twins' final studio album Milk & Kisses, was the band's first-ever multi-disc release — spread across two CDs (Part 1 and Part 2) to house five tracks in total. This listing includes both parts, released in 1996 on Fontana in Europe, capturing the band at their most sonically expansive in the twilight of their career together.

CD1 (CTCD5) pairs the "Tishbite" edit with "Primitive Heart" and "Flock of Soul," while CD2 (CTDD5) adds "Round" and "An Elan" — non-album tracks that never made it onto Milk & Kisses itself, making this single essential for anyone chasing a complete picture of the band's final creative period. The title itself nods to the biblical prophet Elijah, "the Tishbite," a typically oblique touch from a band who rarely explained their lyrics.

"Tishbite" reached No. 34 on the UK Singles Chart and picked up considerable radio play across Europe, from BBC Radio 1 to stations in Poland, Czech Republic, and Scandinavia. All five tracks were later remastered for 2018's Treasure Hiding: The Fontana Years box set — but this original 1996 two-disc release remains the way collectors first encountered them, and a genuine must-have for any serious Cocteau Twins or 4AD/dream pop collection.
