DESCRIPTION
The deluxe 2-CD edition of Camphor by David Sylvian is a beautifully curated compilation of his instrumental works. Released on May 27, 2002, it features remixes and re-recordings of tracks from his earlier albums, along with some previously unreleased material. The second disc in the deluxe edition offers Plight, Mutability (detail) & Premonition.
The artwork for the deluxe edition is crafted by Russell Mills with assistance from Michael Webster. It features a blend of abstract and organic elements, reflecting the ambient and introspective nature of David Sylvian's music. The cover photography was done by Charles Lindsay, while the portrait photography was captured by Kevin Westenberg, adding a personal and evocative touch to the packaging.
The design includes a three-panel digipak with a fold-out sheet that doubles as a poster. This poster showcases a photograph by Kevin Westenberg. The overall aesthetic is deeply atmospheric, aligning perfectly with the mood of the album.
