Mercuric Dance is an ambient electronic album by Haruomi Hosono, released in 1985 under Monad Records. It was part of Hosono’s exploration into environmental music, blending synthesizers with organic soundscapes. The album was recorded at Biwa Studio in Nagano and ALFA Studio in Tokyo, with mixing done at Teichiku Suginami Studio.
The original vinyl LP was released in Japan with the catalog number 28MD-2. It features tracks like Mercuric Dance, Formation of the Venus, and Sea of Tau, reflecting Hosono’s signature atmospheric style.
