COCTEAU TWINS = コクトー・ツインズ

Tiny Dynamine, released 15 November 1985 on 4AD, began life as nothing more than a studio test. Cocteau Twins were trialling the production capacities of a new studio — Guerilla in London — and liked what they heard so much they turned the sessions into a proper EP rather than scrap them. Robin Guthrie later called it "the best-sounding record we've ever made, technically and everything."

This is the original Japanese vinyl pressing (コクトー・ツインズ / タイニー・ダイナマイン), issued the same year as the UK release and prized by collectors for the meticulous mastering and pressing standards Japanese vinyl is known for, alongside the obi strip that comes with genuine Japanese-market copies. Four tracks feature: "Pink Orange Red," "Ribbed and Veined," "Plain Tiger," and "Sultitan Itan" — a tighter, more urgent sound than the ambient Victorialand album that followed just months later.

Released as a companion piece to Echoes in a Shallow Bay two weeks later, the two EPs are widely regarded by fans as forming a genuine "lost fourth album" — some of the band's most overlooked material, and essential listening for any serious Cocteau Twins or 4AD collector.
