| Tubeway Army
Replicas is the second and final studio album by Tubeway Army, released on April 6, 1979. The album was recorded in late 1978 at Gooseberry Sound Studios in London and completed in early 1979 with additional work at Marcus Music Studios.

Gary Numan, the frontman of Tubeway Army, was inspired by a dystopian science fiction theme, influenced by the works of Philip K. Dick. The album features a mix of guitar-oriented rock and synthesizer-based tracks, with Numan using rented Minimoog and Polymoog synthesizers. The production was handled by Numan himself, with engineering by John Caffery.

The album includes the hit single Are ‘Friends’ Electric? which helped it reach No. 1 on the UK charts.

The inner sleeve was printed with lyrics on one side and a photograph with credits on the other. Initial copies of the album also included a poster. There were some variations in the inner sleeve design, such as differences in label layout and the shape of the corners.
