Martin Kemp
le·o·nar·do da vin·ci/,lea'nardo da 'vinCHe/ 1. Leonardo: Italian painter and sculptor and engineer and scientist and architect
This fascinating exploration of Leonardo da Vinci's life and work identifies what it was that made him so unique, and explains the phenomenon of the world's most celebrated artistic genius who, 500 years on, still grips and inspires us.
Good to see the author Martin Kemp juggling his roles as the world's leading expert on Leonardo with his Spandau Ballet duties and acting roles. To cut a long story short, Eastenders meets the Vitruvian Man or the Kray Twins meet Mona Lisa, so to speak.
That was a joke by the way. Not a good joke, I grant you, but one nonetheless.
At last, a chance to see this book before you buy. The low quality scans below will give you a flavour of the book. The book itself is a 100 times better. Just look at a few of the photos scanned below to see what I mean.
